4. Data retention periods:
We do not use our own cookies, but we do use third-party cookies. Therefore, the data retention periods coincide with the periods set out in the respective cookie policies of those third parties.
5. What are cookies?
Cookies are a small amount of information that a web server sends to a web browser, allowing the server to collect feedback from the browser. They are stored on your end device (such as a computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone). Their usual purpose is to allow us to identify your device and its behavior when visiting our websites. Cookies also make your work with websites more secure and faster, by remembering and sending information about your preferences – for example your login details and language.
There are two types of cookies – persistent and temporary (session) cookies. Session cookies are stored temporarily on your device when you visit our sites and are deleted when you close the page. Persistent cookies are stored as a file on your device for a longer period of time.
With the exception of cookies that are necessary for the functioning of our websites, we store cookies on your device only with your consent. In certain cases, we request your consent for the site to use cookies by displaying a special message.
If you do not wish to accept cookies, as well as if you want to remove cookies, you can adjust the settings of the browser you use. More information on how to do this is provided further in this Policy.
We also use web beacons. These are files that allow a given website to collect information about the number of users who have visited it and to access their cookies.
6. Types of cookies:
Mandatory (essential) cookies:
These are necessary for the normal provision of our services. Through them, you are identified as a user of our services, they are used to store part of the code of the visited site and for other similar purposes.
Without them, our websites cannot recognize you, and accordingly you will not have access to our services. They help us to enforce our Terms and to maintain the security of our services.
They are used to allow you to move from one page to another on our sites without having to enter information again, as well as to move from one site to another within the Eurograde Consult Ltd. group. For this reason, mandatory cookies are often persistent.
Your consent is not required for the use of these cookies. The processing of personal data through such cookies is related to the performance of contracts with the user for the provision of services on the websites of Eurograde Consult Ltd.
Performance and functionality cookies:
These are required in order to obtain access to and use our websites.
They allow us to personalize your online experience while you use our websites.
Through them, we remember your preferences so that you do not have to enter information you have already provided each time, for example when entering your login details to access our services.
We also use them to collect information on how users use our services so that we can improve our websites and services and carry out market research.
If you choose to delete these cookies, you may experience limited functionality of our services.
Advertising cookies:
They process information about how you use our websites – the pages you visit or how you react to advertisements – so that we can provide you with ads tailored to your preferences, both on our site and outside it.
They are also used for “interest-based advertising”. This involves analyzing behavior not only on our websites and applications but also on others, whereby a profile about you is created.
It is taken into account which and how many ads you have seen, on which sites/applications, and what actions you have taken in relation to the ads.
Many of these cookies belong to third parties – our service providers. For third-party advertisers, see more information below.
How do we use advertising cookies?
We use these cookies to select and offer advertisements and personalized recommendations that are most appropriate to your interests. We (and authorized third parties) may use non-personalized information from both persistent and session cookies for statistical purposes, as follows:
• To determine which are the most popular parts of our websites
• To monitor the use of our services and websites (frequency and duration)
• To provide anonymous information to third parties so that more appropriate advertising can be directed to you
• To track the success of certain products
• To determine how often you and other users visit our websites and purchase products
• To conduct surveys in order to improve your interaction with our websites and with Eurograde Consult Ltd. as a whole
If you are not logged into your registered profile, these cookies are very likely not able to identify you as a data subject – a natural person. In that case, we use them only to measure visits, for example how many times you have visited a given page. If you are logged into your registered profile, we may combine your profile data with these cookies and identify you.
7. Third-party cookies:
We use third-party cookies as part of our services. These cookies are managed by the respective websites and are not controlled by us. We may also use certain authorized third parties who place cookies during your visits to our sites for the purposes of services they provide to us.
